Will it be the thing that actually makes people wake up and realize that Memphis is being run into the ground by cronyism, corruption, and a general lack of care?

I doubt it.

I’m pretty sure King Willie could shut the Crisis Center down, then rape someone in the parking lot while the local news broadcasts it live and this city would not only find a way to justify it, but would also vote him back into office. It’s rather disgusting, really.

At this point, we’ve nearly regressed to turn of the century levels of public services. I’m just waiting for them to fuck up MATA (If that’s even possible, given as it sucks so amazingly hard already), and our city to go sliding into the river in terms of even basic services.
