My girlfriend and I went to breakfast at blue plate this morning (Which was fantastic, as always), and upon leaving, I realized I’d forgotten a flash drive with data I needed for work, and needed to stop back by my apartment.

Just as I walk into my apartment door, my phone rings. It’s my girlfriend, in the car, saying “Bring the Flip Camera! Hurry!”. I did. I get outside to see one of the handful of legless crackheads passed out on the sidewalk. Being a relatively normal occurance, I was like “Meh, not worth it”.

Luckily, my girlfriend wanted to get some vids, and ran down there with my camera. She caught the following:

Just life as usual in downtown Memphis. A legless crackhead flailing about at 9am on a friday.

Before you call me a terrible person for laughing at this (Which I am, btw), that crackhead was a crackhead before losing his legs, and rather than sue the commercial vehicle company that hit him, he settled for a couple thousand bucks and had a $4k crack party. Regardless, the whole situation is at least as comical as it is sad.
