Home invader identified by victims as Memphis rapper

Victims in a home invasion last week identified one of the suspects as a Memphis rapper who bills himself as “E.P. the Paper Chaser.”

Emmanuel Patterson, 17, faces a charge of aggravated robbery. He’s being held on $200,000 bond.

According to a police affidavit, three armed suspects confronted a male and female about 4:30 p.m. Friday at a residence in the 600 block of Camilla.

The male was shot in the hand, and the suspects took cash and a Sony PlayStation.

During the robbery, one of the suspects was repeatedly referred to as “E.P.,” according to a police affidavit.

A victim’s Internet searches led investigators to Patterson, who was identified in a YouTube video.

Patterson, who was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Monday, was previously transferred to criminal court for other offenses, including a pending charge for aggravated robbery.
