I always avoided Automatic Slim’s like the plague. I’ve eaten there and handful of times, and always found it overpriced and bland. The menu was boring, the food itself wasn’t anything special, and while not expensive in the grand scheme of things, I still managed to feel ripped off. What should have been a $10 meal was a $30 meal.

Things have changed.

Michael Patrick, formerly of EP’s, is now at Automatic Slim’s. While I don’t want to come across as a kiss ass, I’ve honestly never had anything from a Michael Patrick kitchen that wasn’t good, so I have high hopes for Slim’s new menu. I’ll stop by as soon as the menu changes and report back, but I would wager that it won’t be disappointing. Here’s to hoping I’m right.
