I went and picked up a few cleaning supplies, some beer, a pack of smokes, etc at Ike’s on Union. I thought the total of $70 was a bit high, but then again I bought some stuff I don’t usually buy, and I never pay much attention to the prices, so I just paid it and went home.

I got home and checked the receipt and saw this:

I thought maybe inflation had run rampant on the price of Tums, so I checked the interwebs. Walgreens.com sells them for $4.99. I’ll be returning them tomorrow morning.

Youtube found a way to concentrate gay.

Basically he’s done a documentary ranting about science teachers being fired/reprimanded for teaching “Intelligent Design” in science class in public schools.

And? It’s a Science class, not a Conjecture class. Although most people think of a theory as just someone’s idea of how something works, the scientific definition of theory is entirely different. From wikipedia (because I know it to be accurate, and if you doubt me, go spend the time to look it up on m-w.com, I’m too lazy):

In science, a theory is a testable model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise verified through empirical observation.

Testable is the operative word here. There no way to test “The magic man in the sky created everything”. That’s not a fucking theory, it’s conjecture, and has no place in a science classroom. Indoctrinate your children at home. Let’s keep Science classes focused on crazy shit like facts, objective observation, and the scientific method.

Not surprisingly, the only positive reviews for this abortion of a “Documentary” have come from religious publications/websites.
