Why have I never tried this before? It’s the basic club fare on a croissant, but for some reason it’s way better than it should be. I’m guessing the freshness and quality of ingredients plays a big role in that. Either way, give it a shot.

In a revision to a previous bill regarding harassment, the new law would make it illegal to “transmit or display” an image that would be “reasonably offensive” to a person. I had intended to address the constitutionality of the law, pointing out how it’s far too broad and far reaching, but I decided that this was a better way to express my feelings:

First off, I’d like to send my condolences to the people of Memphis. Thanks to the weather, they have suffered emotionally and financially in the past few weeks. Actually that’s not really true. It would be more accurate to say they have suffered emotionally and financially in the past few weeks thanks to the weather media.

Fantastic article. Everyone I know who doesn’t live in Memphis has asked me if I’m ok. This guy’s post does a lot to cover why people are calling us to make sure we’re alive in Downtown Memphis.

As an aside, I tried to email the author to let him know I was linking his article, but I’m not signing up for Forbes just to contact him. If he reads this and would like me to take it down, he can email me.

I didn’t think anything could surpass the volume of the Mississippi river at Memphis right now…

But I might have been mistaken. The volume of people coming to look at it is pretty awesome. I usually take Riverside Drive home from work every evening. If there’s anyone walking down riverside, it’s maybe 3-5 random tourists. Logical, given that there’s not really anything on Riverside Drive. It’s the river on one side and the bluff on the other. For a Wednesday night around 7pm, this is pretty crazy:

Started on the roof of my Apartment at Metro67, walked down madison to front, front to monroe, monroe to riverside, up union to wagner, across beale up to the walking path and across the footbridge at beale and riverside, then back up union where I got the homeless guy sleeping in front of the visitors bureau. Enjoy.
